"Fine Halal Mexican Cuisine." I've noticed that, since the last time I was in New York, last Spring, there's been a dramatic increase in the number of Halal food carts. I used to have to scour for falafel, now it's on every corner. It seems also to have spread to the sit-down restaurants. So I imagine that El Mariachi does not serve alcohol, for that would be "haraam."
