We're Big in Japan

This is the article that came out in a Tokushima paper while we were doing the pilgrimage. I'm third in line, the dude with the helmet. For me, it was great that the Japanese found our doing the Shikoku pilgrimage on bicycles to be so interesting and newsworthy ... so much so that we were in the newspaper, on TV and on the radio. The day that it came out, I was walking through a hotel lobby; I was there to use the "onsen" or heated baths. A bunch of old ladies who were doing the pilgrimage spotted me, approached, and started peppering me with questions in Japanese. I didn't understand a word, but I felt like a rock star, which is a good feeling.
